CAPITA Productions is a non-profit Community Theater Company, founded in 1990 by Ms. Arlene Skwierawski and the late Brother Booker Ashe. Their goal was to draw from all areas of the community to foster multicultural awareness and racial harmony through the medium of Community Theater. Since its inception, CAPITA has worked to bring together people of diverse ages, races and backgrounds to provide an example of how the community can work together.

The acronym CAPITA stands for “City at Peace in the Arts.”
